If you’re following me over on instagram you’ll know that I’ve had a bit of a rebrand to ‘Making Scents Make Sense’ (I will get around to changing the blog name at some point….). With that comes an exciting new venture: a podcast! Making Scents Make Sense the podcast is a series that is all about demystifying the world of fragrance. My aim is to talk fragrance in a fun, accessible way with no snobbery and no gatekeeping. The first episode is now live and you can listen below or wherever you get your podcasts.
Thomas Dunckley

It’s battle time once again and in this episode, Thomas and Nick are joined by guest judge Nigel Dunckley (Thomas’ lovely yet long-suffering husband) in a fragrant fight of their favourite Eau de Colognes.
What is an Eau de Cologne? What fragrances do Thomas and Nick choose? Who is victorious? Will Thomas and Nigel still be married by the end of the episode? All this (and more) is answered in Fume Chat: Attack of the Colognes.

We’re back again with another battle of the bottles and this time the theme is one close to Thomas’ & Nick’s heart: roses. That’s right, we’re battling our favourite rose perfumes with a wonderful selection of rosy goodness. Our judge this week is the iconic Josephine Fairley, journalist and co-founder of The Perfume Society, who moderates the battle with panache and brings her own rather surprising rose perfume to the table. So put on your rose-tinted specs and get ready for The War of the Roses!
