This week Escentual.com has been taken over by the launch of Paco Rabanne’s brand new fragrance ‘Invictus’. Unlike most sports-based fragrances, Invictus has one or two interesting nuances which you can read all about in my review by simply clicking on the image above to head over to Escentual’s blog.
Whilst your there please feel free to share your thoughts and impressions of Invictus as well as your favourite sports scents. I look forward to reading your comments! Oh and don’t forget to ogle Australian Rugby Star/Hunk Nick Youngquest in the Invictus TV spot – it really is not to be missed…
Summer is finally here! I’m serious, temperatures are set to hit a whopping 29ºC all across our sunny isles this weekend and what better way to celebrate the sun than with some seriously sunny scents?
My post for Escentual this week focuses on two scents I am quite liking for summer: Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Bianca for the girls and Dior Homme Cologne (the new 2013 version) for the boys. So if you’re looking to zest up your summer these staple scents are not to be missed!
Over the last few weeks I have continued to fulfil my duties as Escentual.com‘s Fragrance Expert with weekly articles on a wide range of subjects ranging from spring flowers to a fascinating talk hosted by Perfume Lovers London and venerable perfumer Mark Buxton.
You can find links to my recent articles below the jump (with the Mark Buxton article above) so please head on over to Escentual for a quick read and feel free to leave comments whilst you’re there! You may also find my Father’s Day Fragrant Gift Guide on your travels.
This week’s stop on my Escentual A-Z of Fragrance is the letter ‘G’ – and the only ‘G’ that could possibly count in the world of perfume is ‘Guerlain’. Like many fellow perfume nerds I have a major soft spot for this venerable French house and with this guide I aim to take you on a whirlwind tour of all that is Guerlain including the perfumers that have made the house the great institution that it is.
Please head on over to Escentual.com by clicking on the image above and don’t forget to leave a comment whilst you’re over there, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the world of Guerlain.
Tis 01 April which means that many a prank or trick will be played upon a plethora of unsuspecting souls today. I however, am for too kind for all that malarky and instead would like to share with you the latest instalment in my Escentual A-Z – ‘F is for Five Golden Rules’.
Please click on the image above to head over to Escentual to check out my Five Golden Rules for being a perfume nerd – you’d be an April Fool not too!
It’s that time of the week again – Monday means another Escentual post and this week’s article takes a break from the usual A-Z and focuses on a review of the latest fragrance from the venerable perfume world of Serge Lutens. ‘La Fille de Berlin’ (The Girl from Berlin) is a rose of many textures inspired by the androgyny of German-American actress Marlene Dietrich.

In continutation of my A-Z for Escentual.com today’s post focuses on the naughty world of Etat Libre d’Orange. From the weird and wonderful to the downright disgusting Etat Libre d’Orange is a brand that never fails to shock, surprise and wow with their range of exciting and unique perfumes.

Please click the image above to head on over to Escentual.com to read the latest instalment in my Escentual A-Z of Fragrance. The letter of the day is ‘B’ and we’re focusing on the wonderful and snuffly note of Benzoin.
I am very chuffed to have been asked to write a guest-post for Escentual.com (a wonderful fragrance and beauty e-tailer*), in which I have the colossal task of scenting the British Royal Family. This has been one of my absolute favourite pieces to write and I had a blast putting it together so I do hope you will enjoy it. Please do head on over to Escentual to give it a read.
