Invictus by Paco Rabanne

This week Escentual.com has been taken over by the launch of Paco Rabanne’s brand new fragrance ‘Invictus’. Unlike most sports-based fragrances, Invictus has one or two interesting nuances which you can read all about in my review by simply clicking on the image above to head over to Escentual’s blog.

Whilst your there please feel free to share your thoughts and impressions of Invictus as well as your favourite sports scents. I look forward to reading your comments! Oh and don’t forget to ogle Australian Rugby Star/Hunk Nick Youngquest in the Invictus TV spot – it really is not to be missed…

Honey by Marc Jacobs

This week on Escentual I review the brand new launch from Marc Jacobs – ‘Honey’. Like most Marc Jacob scents Honey is a competently produced and fancy-free fragrance that matches cutesy styling (those vinyl flower/bees) and a sunny, sweet scent that is as wearable as it is joyful.

Summer Sale Scent Picks

This month Escentual is having a super sale where they’re offering a whopping 20% off everything* on site until 26 July. This week my post features some of my key picks from the sale, ranging from those big-ticket items that you’ve always wanted to splurge out on (and now have no excuse not to) and those cheeky summer bargains that will help you get through the unrelenting heat wave.

So please head on over to the Escentual blog by clicking the image above and check out my Summer Sale Scent Picks. Also, feel free to let me know what sale items you’ve picked up or would like to pick up in the comments box here or on Escentual.

Clarins Treatment Fragrances

This week’s Escentual post is a review of the three Treatment Fragrances from Clarins – Eau Dynamisante, Eau Ressourçante and Eau des Jardins. Between the three of them they make for a wonderful antidote for the warm, humid summer days, cutting through the heat and treating the skin at the same time.

Summer Staple Scents: Click to View

Summer is finally here! I’m serious, temperatures are set to hit a whopping 29ºC all across our sunny isles this weekend and what better way to celebrate the sun than with some seriously sunny scents?

My post for Escentual this week focuses on two scents I am quite liking for summer: Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Bianca for the girls and Dior Homme Cologne (the new 2013 version) for the boys. So if you’re looking to zest up your summer these staple scents are not to be missed!

Scent Memories of My Father

Father’s Day is fast approaching and to celebrate my weekly Escentual post focuses on the best father of them all (in my humble opinion) – my dad. The post is a not only a tribute to the man himself but also a look back at the scents he has worn over the years – scents that have had an impact on the masculines I wear and enjoy.

Please click on the image above to head over to Escentual and peruse the article. Don’t forget to leave a comment whilst you are there! Also, below the jump you’ll find another link to a Fragrant Father’s Day Gift Guide for every type of dad there is. Enjoy!

Givenchy Dahlia Noir L’Eau

This week’s Escentual post is a review of a fragrance that took me wholely by surprise – Dahlia Noir L’Eau by Givenchy. The original Dahlia Noir made next to no impression on me whatsover (very much in line with most Givenchy offerings) and I am, as you know, not a massive fan of anything remotely green – so it is with great surprise that I give a big thumbs up to Dahlia Noir L’Eau!

La Fille de Berlin by Serge Lutens

It’s that time of the week again – Monday means another Escentual post and this week’s article takes a break from the usual A-Z and focuses on a review of the latest fragrance from the venerable perfume world of Serge Lutens. ‘La Fille de Berlin’ (The Girl from Berlin) is a rose of many textures inspired by the androgyny of German-American actress Marlene Dietrich.

D is for Dior…

In continuation of my Escentual A-Z of Fragrance, this weeks post for Escentual.com is all about the only ‘D’ that would be acceptable – Dior. Click on the link above to read my guide to the world of Dior and some of my favourite fragrances that the house has to offer.

Also, feel free to leave a comment on the Escentual blog stating which of the Dior fragrances are your favourite, and why!
