“Well, if ya gonna do it – do it properly”. ~ And as far as I’m concerned, even before smelling the ‘juice’, she’s already done a far better job at releasing this fume than any other celeb’s done so far. …
& Keeping the romance & mystery of perfume formulation alive too I see. 🙂 … So far IMO, she’s not set a single foot wrong. – It’s all looking good ! … (& with every single step my hopes for the fume grow even higher … )

  I’m *really* hoping for something dark. I do like that she is somehow exposing the world to the idea that perfume has a lot of thought put into it, and that it is truly an art.

  I agree! It’s a fun ad and it’s good to see some effort behind a celeb launch.
  
  My only niggle is that they really selling this “first ever black eau de parfum” malarky which makes me worry that Fame will just be a gimmick. Let’s hope not.

    You know, if it was anybody else I’d probably be feeling the same. BUT with Gaga I now feel it’s almost expected, it wouldn’t be the same without it. & I like that she’s attempting to push there’s something “different/individual” which sets it apart, “a first” (even tho’ it’s hardly), with her ‘fume. – It’s just so “very her”.
    And gimmicky as it is, (which it is !) I still just somehow like the whole black perfume ‘thing’, think it works really well with the whole concept. (Plus it will be very effective at hooking her target audience. Not to mention it sets tongues wagging.) – I don’t know, I just think it’s clever. … I mean, who with a “dark soul” doesn’t want a pitch-black ‘fume in their wardrobe ? (LOL) 😀 (It’s gonna fly off the shelves !)

    I get all that, it’s just that she’s overselling that aspect slightly, which makes me worry the scent is an afterthought s’all. I remain positive though!

I absolutely love this over-the-top advert- but then, I love La Gaga! Out of the plethora of new releases, I’m actually looking forward to trying this one.

I have a lot of friends who are scientists, and I just have to say that from a safety standpoint, they should have a little more protective clothing 😉

Also, I don’t know about this claim to be the first perfume that sprays on dark and dries clear. Do you remember Wode by Boudicca?

    I think I saw somewhere that there is a fairly significant price difference between the paint version and the no-paing version. The Boudicca one, it took longer than I thought for the bright blue color to go away!
    
    But it looks like Fame is going to sell like hotcakes.

    All joking aside, Lady Gaga is great. I never feel like she takes herself too seriously, even when she is wearing steaks or hawking black perfume.

I couldn’t help being a little disappointed that Gaga herself wasn’t in it, but it hypes the release up a bit which is all good fun.

My Mum was horrified at the idea of black perfume so it’s pretty much job done 🙂
