I’m always crushing on something scented or other. My nose knows no limits. Candy Crush is where I showcase the beautifully scented things I’m crushing on right now so you can hopefully develop a crush too.
I bloody love Acqua di Parma. Everything they do is so refined, so luxurious and well, so Italian. They have a nose for beauty, presenting gorgeous, uncomplicated scents in handsome packaging. So yes, I always have time for Acqua di Parma’s many offerings, including the summer holiday tones of the Blu Meditteraneo range which celebrates the wonders of Italy via a series of citrus-centric haikus inspired by the Italian countryside. They are bottled sunshine and they are lovely.
Right now I’m crushing on La Collezione, a set of three 30ml travel sprays that contains the greatest hits of the Blu Meditteraneo range. First up there’s Fico di Amalfi, my all-time favourite BM scent, which is a deliciously jammy but also green airy-fresh take on fig that gives the impression of fig trees on the breeze. After that there’s the delightful Bergamotto di Calabria, a shimmering bergamot with a lovely citrus bite, and to round it all off there’s the buoyant orange tones of Arancia di Capri. They’ve picked very wisely, I must say – I want all of them, which is handy.
Travel sprays are great for us fume nerds because we rarely need 100ml of one thing, but we’d quite like 30ml of numerous things. With La Collezione you get exactly that: variety and it’s portable variety too – perfect for the gym bag, desk drawer, suitcase or just for the sake of having . If like me, you find it impossible to choose when it comes Acqua Di Parma, then La Collezione is the perfect thing. Yep, I’m crushing hard right now.
Blu Mediterraneo La Collezione is available from House of Fraser for £99 (3x30ml Eau de Parfum).
