I’m always crushing on something scented or other. My nose knows no limits. Candy Crush is where I showcase the beautifully scented things I’m crushing on right now so you can hopefully develop a crush too.

I honestly could not imagine the perfume industry without The Perfume Society. They are a fantastic resource that not only seeks to celebrate perfume and those who love it, but also to educate consumers in the often secret and confusing world of fragrance. They do a phenomenal job and have a lot to offer, from their indulgently informative magazine The Scented Letter, to their frighteningly accurate fragrance recommendation tool FR.eD, not to mention their exciting events and the regular updates on their website. Phew, it’s a lot! The Perfume Society offers so much wonderful fragrance content: fact.

One of my favourite Perfume Society offerings is their regular Discovery Boxes. These are a great way to sample a number of scents on a certain theme, usually with some extra goodies thrown in too! The idea is to open one up to a new world of scent, guiding them to understand their own tastes and discover fragrances and brands that they may not usually encounter. They truly are great and they’re super affordable too, so it’s a win on all accounts!

The latest box from The Perfume Society is the New Man Discovery Box and I’m crushing on it because it is literally filled to the brim with samples of new masculine fragrances – 13 of them to be exact. It also includes a travel size Ted Baker shave gel and a full size (200ml) bottle of Escentric 03 Shower Gel from Escentric Molecules. It’s an incredibly generous selection that includes; Bois d’Hadrien by Goutal Paris, KoEptYs by Nejma, Viking by CREED, ICON Racing by Dunhill, Turnbull & Asser by Floris, La Majeure d’Issey by Issey Miyake, Jack Picadilly ’69, Jimmy Choo Man Blue, Extreme Speed by Michael Kors, Legend Night by Montblanc, ALIEN MAN by MUGLER, Kings Wood by Shay & Blue (a sneak preview – launches in September), and Ted’s Grooming Range Cologne by Ted Baker. I told you it was generous!

I had a great time diving in to the collection and found not one, but two new loves. My favourite discovery was the upcoming launch from Shay & Blue – the spicy yet fresh Kings Wood, which places an intriguing twist of pineapple over a bed of woods and leather. It’s super sexy. I also enjoyed the surprisingly fresh KoEptYs from Nejma, which is a delightfully crystalline take on spice and resins. I’m still working my way through the samples so I’m sure there is more love to be found, but I will tell you one thing, that Escentric Molecules shower gel (worth £20) is bloody sublime!
